Suicide bomber has killed 2 people during an early morning prayer session at a mosque in Dalori quarters opposite the University of Maiduguri
. The suicide bomber died and another person believed to be a student of the university was also killed.
A spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, Sani Datti, confirmed the attack stating that the bomber killed himself and another person. An eyewitness told Saharareporters that a loud explosion jolted residents when the suicide bomber, a male, detonated the IED strapped to his body.
Dalori is a few kilometers from a major Internally Displaced Camp in Maiduguri. This is the second attack around UNIMAID in two weeks. Last week a suicide bomber killed a university professor during an attack on a mosque within the university.
