The chief of naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibo-Ete Ibas, assures multinational oil companies of adequate protection of their staff and oil facilities in the Niger Delta region.
He says the navy has taken proactive measures to ensure that the waterways are safe for international oil companies to carry out their legitimate duties in the Niger Delta region -
Chief Edwin Clark and other Niger Delta leaders appeal to Niger Delta Avengers to end their threat to recommence bombing of oil facilities in the region.
The Nigerian Navy has said that it is ready to protect the nation’s critical assets against attacks from members of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) who recently threatened to resume attacks on oil installations.
