Manchester City have informed Monaco that they are ready to spend €110 million (£94m) on Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in France.

Earlier this week, Manchester United reportedly had a £72m offer for the 18-year-old rejected by the Ligue 1 leaders.

But Le10 Sport claim that Pep Guardiola is intent on signing the forward this summer and City have verbally told Monaco that they would be prepared to go as high as an offer of £94 million, which would be a new world-record transfer fee.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also interested in the France international, who has scored 15 goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco this season.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he went as far as visiting Mbappe at his home last summer in order to push through Arsenal’s transfer.

‘The player would tell you that I was at his home last year to try to get him here,’ the Arsenal boss told beIN Sports.
‘Because he was at the end of [his] contract but Monaco managed to keep him and the decision was very, very tight.
‘But I could understand it as well because he was educated there and at the end decided to stay there.’
